This Sunday, I’ll be one of 10,000 cyclists taking part in the 40th MS ‘Sydney to the Gong’ bike ride in support of Multiple Sclerosis.
Every week in Australia, 10 people will be diagnosed with MS, and according to the Atlas of MS Organisation, each day, it is estimated that at least 300 people are diagnosed worldwide. Most of those diagnosed are between 20-40 years of age.
I’ve had the opportunity to take part in the ride a few times, but not for a few years, and this is apparently the first “full-capacity” Gong Ride post-Covid, so I’m nervously excited!
My goal is to raise as much as I can to support people living with MS – and you can help me get there by donating to my challenge. Your support will help people with Multiple Sclerosis in Australia receive the vital support, treatments, and services to help them live well, at home, in the workplace, and in the community.
I know that the increasing costs of living over the past year make this a very tall ask – but every bit helps.
My Fundraising page is here – and you’ll be sent a tax-deductible receipt straight away.
Thank you for reading this!
(I hope the Weather Gods look a bit more favourably on Sunday than they do right now – – otherwise, I might be doing the ride backwards!!)
