This Sunday, 1st November, I’ll be taking part in the 2015 Sydney to the Gong bike ride. This will be my third run, so I’m looking forward to it!
For those of you that don’t know, the “Gong Ride” is an annual cycling event which departs Sydney and heads south, through the Royal National Park and ends up in Wollongong, a route of around 90 kilometres. It is organised to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic and debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system. It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and most people will be diagnosed between the ages of 20 to 40 years of age. As yet, there is no cure.
If you are willing and able, you can reach my individual fundraising page from the following link: [no longer active] All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
For everyone else, please spare a thought (or a chuckle!) of me on Sunday morning as I sweat it out with hundreds of other lycra-clad cyclists as I attempt to finish the ride!
In either case, thank you!
